This parish of the municipality of A Fonsagrada, was the capital of the “Concello de Burón”, located in the western part of the upper basin of the Navia River, is full of a great landscape heritage, monuments with history and legend, and also with popular architecture worthy of admiration. Some of its streets are named after characters that are part of world history.
Four beautiful villages form this parish, each with thousands of charms in any corner, where tranquility, nature and the passage of the Primitive Way make A Pobra de Burón an ideal place to visit.
It is worth noting the castle, belonging to the Counts of Altamira, known as “A Fortaleza”.
All the beautiful surroundings of Proba de Burón, is part of the EO-Oscos-Terras de Burón Biosphere Reserve, Natura 2000 Network, Geodestines of Galicia.
