The Gallol PRG 140 hiking trail, it starts at the Escola de Vilardíaz, going up the LU-740 road towards A Fonsagrada, running between ups and downs, where the Rodil Rivers, Parada, Veiga de Logares and Pontigón, offer us paradisiacal views and the native forests the magic that will accompany us as we discover mills, hórreos and endless landscape and heritage wonders.
Road LU-530 from Lugo to A Fonsagrada, before the center of A Fonsagrada you take the detour by the LU-740 to Vilardíaz, passing the village is the Escola, which is where this fantastic route begins, within the region of A Fonsagrada, which is part of Terras de Burón, Biosphere Reserve, where nature invites the quiet and rural accommodations to enjoy.

Description of the route
A beautiful hiking trail, which begins on the Escola de Vilardíaz and very soon we find rural houses, among it the tourist apartments of Villa Severina, with hórreo on the roof, where we head right to meet again, the LU-740 road, we cross and continue on the right, where a fairly sloped descent immerses us in a pine forest and we see to the left of the road , a coal pit.
We arrive at a viewpoint, where the stones camouflage a cortin wedged at the base of the rock, while, we continue to climb, we skirt a castro and begins the descent towards the majestic Rio Rodil, finding ourselves in its Ponte do Rodil, surprising to see the beauty when joining with the Veiga d Logares River.
We cross the river, and soon the fork appears and we take the path on the right to be able to cross Ponte do Castelo and continue on the left to the uninhabited village of Parada, we go down to the Parada River that takes us to the Parada Mills, from where we return over our steps to Ponte do Castelo, to corruption to take the right branch and start climbing among centuries-old chestnut trees , as we go up, we see on the right the village of Vilarín do Castelo, we continue the road taking the first deviation to the left, to enter another large soto, making the path somewhat narrower between native trees, which takes us to the village of Vilarxubín, the one we cross to approach the Rodil River joining the Pontgón River, a beautiful stamp that follows us as we cross the Ponte de Beltrán , the forests and the beautiful landscape help us in the accession of the route, coinciding with the route of Santo André, to cross the meadows that return us to the point of origin.
