The village of Os Baos, belonging to the municipality of Ribeira de Piquín, caressed by the Rodil River and the Eo River, gives us an incredible landscape, within the Biosphere Reserve Eo-Oscos-Terras de Burón la Red Natura 2000 and the Geodestines of Galicia.
The church of Os Baos, a beautiful church, which belonged to the order of St. John of Malta, is on a promontory, surrounded by the Rodil River. Formed by three naves with slate roof and whitewashed walls, it welcomes us with a sun clock made on slate.
Its interior is as beautiful as the exterior, as shown by the neoclassical main altarpiece and the polychrome Renaissance-style image of St. Andrew, which dates back to the fifteenth century and is in the side altarpiece.
The highlight of the Church of San Xoan de Baos, are the five skulls without lower jaw, which are embedded in the wall, in geometric arrangement, on a square window overlooking the cemetery.
