The relief of Negueira de Muñiz is mountainous. A territory located around the Grandas de Salime Reservoir where valleys and steep slopes form that give it an incredible landscape. Negueira de Muñiz offer us a great biodiversity in the surroundings of the Navia River. The whole area has a great variety of flora and fauna. Forests with native trees such as oaks and chestnut trees. There are also forests of overiras, abineiros and freixos found through the municipality. Negueira de Muñiz preserves in its valleys a great diversity of vegetation and in the areas of ribeira show vineyards of different grape varieties. The crystal clear mountains and rivers show all their splendor and also hide some other treasure of antiquity. Toda Negueira de Muñiz is a natural paradise classified as an area of special conservation and that is part of the Geodestines of Galicia, the Biosphere Reserves and the Natura 2000 Network.
Tallobre is a small hamlet in the parish of Ouviaño, in the Town Hall of Negueira de Muñiz. It has a peculiar beauty and a heritage worth knowing.
In Tallobre, in addition to the rehabilitated mill, there are places full of charm that seem magical like the Castiñeiral de Tallobre. This traditional “souto” that presents the characteristics of the area, is formed by centenary chestnut trees that seem to caress the sky and descends the slopes towards the Navia River.
This forest is a fundamental part of the landscape heritage of Negueira de Muñiz. We can visit it at any time of the year, highlighting autumn for the great color variety that the leaves of chestnut trees acquire.

Sierras de Busbeirón and A Curula
These two high mountain points are ideal places for nature lovers and for hiking or mountain sports.
Located in Negueira de Muñiz, they offer from their peaks wide panoramas of the whole region and the large slopes that form the quiet valleys over the Navia River.
Busbeirón and Curula are part of the striking mountain relief of Negueira de Muñiz. Surrounding as faithful guardians the Grandas de Salime Reservoir.
These high mountains are part of the Eo-Oscos-Terras de Burón Biosphere Reserve, the Geodestines of Galicia and Red Natura 2000. They are the highest points of Negueira de Muñiz, bordering Asturias.
The valleys at the foot of these mountains are full of almost intact natural corners and also typical constructions that are preserved over time.
