BOEL CHAPEL
In Ribeira de Piquín, there is a village called Boel, possessor of natural and heritage treasures, where the Church could not be missing.
This particular Boel Chapel is dedicated to San José and it is said that it was once a prison during the war of independence.

Open the doors of your interest and visit this beautiful hexagonal-shaped religious construction, built in stone and with a typical slate roof where an iron cross is located in the center that joins its waters.

Built around the year 1550, it was the Casa Piquín chapel and at its entrance, above the door, there is a shield with a helmet, quartered and oval that shows superimposed figures at its base.
Like the entire natural and magical environment of Ribeira de Piquín, the chapel also has its great charm and it is very easy to get to it, since it is located very close to the village, next to the road, in a field that surely witnessed of tears and laughter.
