Description of the route

In the queue of the Grandas de Salime Reservoir, at an altitude of 800 meters, we find the village of Liñares de Bidul, where the route begins already with spectacular views, we take the road to the left in an easterly direction and we go downhill towards the ruins of the village of Ludeiro, where the remains of wineries, cortines, ouriceiras, welcome us , to continue along the beauty of the path between chestnut trees, following the stream of Navallo, suddenly we see a house that still has activity, next to it a fountain.

From this point, we continue to the road, taking on the left the track of Riodeporcos and leaving on the left its suspension bridge, we continue head-on towards an old handmade road between the 30s and 40s called Road of the Republic, the one that joins A Fonsagrada with San Antolín de Ibias attached to the reservoir of Grandas de Salime , whose surroundings will enchant us beautifully.

We continue to enjoy the journey with river landscapes next to the canal of the Navia River, until remains of the Factory, an old mineral foundry of the year 1875, makes us observe its majestic fireplace that it still preserves.

An old chapel and remains of fundiction, they look at and listen, in the abandoned village of A Fornaza, as we follow the path along the bank of the Lamas River to a beautiful recreational area called Ferrería de Vilar de Cuiña, whose activity ended at the end of the nineteenth century.

After rest in the almost idyllic setting of the Ferrería, we continue along a path on the slope that forms the canyon of the Rio Lamas, which makes our eyes, fill with charm with the beauty of the place and encourage us to follow a little further to the villabol bridge, where our trip ends, very close to the river beach Pena do Inferno.
